The interests of the History of Mathematics Research Group include:

  • Geometry in the 19th and 20th centuries
  • Philosophy of mathematics
  • Seventeenth century British mathematics
  • Social-institutional history of British mathematics

Prof Jeremy Gray currently holds a nine month Leverhulme Research Fellowship entitled ‘A scientific biography of Henri Poincaré.’
